As our deal flow and portfolio scaled, traditional spreadsheets and manual note transfers could no longer keep pace with how fast our team moved. To build a truly AI-native fund workflow, I architected an event-driven internal backend on Google Cloud and Vertex AI. Rather than moving original files out of Drive or Notion, the system automatically indexes state changes and exposes an MCP layer, leaving facts to AI and judgment to humans.
